Thieving squirrel

I saw this squirrel and wondered what it was doing. The birds sometimes go peck the elves, so I thought the squirrel was just wondering about it too. At some point I chased it away and went to see what it had done.

Turned out it was trying to steal the beard! I guess it needed material to its nest. 

It didn't come back for it. The beard is nearly off already. so it will interesting to see if it disappears some day.
