Showdown!

Flicker - 1; Starling - 0
The starling was at the bird pie when the northern flicker flew in this afternoon and he wanted it. He advanced on the starling, gave him a couple of pecks and the starling left. The starling did try to come back a few minutes later while the flicker was still there. I guess he decided it wasn't worth getting pecked again, he only stayed a minute, then left again.

It's fun to watch the way the birds interact with each other. The little warblers have no fear of the flicker, they share the bird pie at the same time. None of them will land on the feeder while the squirrel is sitting there. The goldfinches and the warblers will eat at the same time, and the same with the chickadees.

Work went well today. When I made the appointment, the store did not tell me that they had already set the pegged section with all the nail implements and the false nails. I did have to check it though, and make a few tweaks on the spacing. I am glad we were able to finish early, it was a busy aisle today. There were 4 other people working in the same aisle doing other relines.

One of the ones working for the other company was training 2 new people today. It must have been the first day for one of them and the 2nd one had worked a few days already. The one that had worked a few days said something to the new one, and the one doing the training turned around and told him not to say anything to the new one since he was not fully trained. She should never have reprimanded him in front of others.

A small job tomorrow, I should be finished by 1 pm. It's the one that was delayed by the storm on Monday.

We had some sunshine today.
