Catkins

In a largely dull and dreary day, sunshine is both surprising and welcome. It’s short-lived, but enough to catch these hazel catkins against a patch of blue sky as we return from visiting G’s mum. 

The rest of the day is given over to preparing for our week in Northumberland - somewhere we’ve wanted to visit for some time. I mentioned  a few days ago that travel planning was taking up some time right now. As well as our imminent venture, we’ve been planning a trip to Namibia next year - a long way off, but very exciting and the itinerary now seems to be established!
