Beauty and Decay

The Hellebore flowers are early bloomers so the old leaves are often decaying among the blooms. This photo shows the result of leaving the old leaves in place before the new flowers pop up.

Yesterday's post brought lots of comments about the child that caused the problems in the classroom. First I want to say that I think this child has parents who are not to blame for her special diagnosis. There are no special education schools or special classrooms for these children so they are now in regular classrooms. The reason the child is not touched and forcibly removed from the classroom is because of the many lawsuits from parents. It is a messy situation.

By the way, after school, Ellie was most concerned about the child being able to come back to school.  She cared for her wellbeing and Ellie was delighted that the girl was back in class today; Ellie said she was peaceful and did well in the classroom today.
