Excuse Me!!!!
That is my hat - not yours...........
I am the grumpy one.
I am glad to say she didn't try taking it with her.
Prescriptions were picked up this morning .... well, most of them.
I am missing a box which should be in tomorrow.
SWMBO also has a very small supply of one of her drugs and a note to see the doctor for a revue (she managed to phone the surgery and get an appointment to actually see a doctor in a couple of days. Amazing).
There was also a hunt for pen refills in various shops. Some of them didn't even sell pens in their stationary departments and the others were extortionate. I also couldn't believe that a single ballpoint pen (a real one not a BIC or Biro) costs over £20. The human race is obviously loosing the ability to actually write.
I ended up buying a pack of 5 refills online for less than a single one in the one shop that did stock them. It is not the shoppers who are killing the High Streets - it is the shops!
After lunch I went and filled the car with all the shredding and trimmings ready for the trip to the dump tomorrow (I didn't fancy doing it in the rain that is forecast for the morning).
I also got an e-mail from the Council reminding that I get a 30 minute slot, that I can't arrive early, that I need 2 forms of ID and that they have stopped their staff from helping (along with a load of other dos and don'ts). No wonder the amount of fly-tipping is rocketing.
Back home and I turned a really small 'goblet' with a very thin wall from a bit of the tree trunk (which I have kept for making things from) to see what it looked like under the bark. 'Very Nice' was my reaction from the grain pattern. We shall see how it looks tomorrow after it has been dried in the microwave.
