The shivering mountain

Mam Tor near Castleton in the Peak District.

Nice walk this afternoon from below the Mam Tor - known as the shivering mountain as its slowly crumbling away over the years.

Lots of birdsong and some large numbers of Swallows, Swifts and House Martins flying among the trees and looking as if they were very interested in kites being flown from the ridge.

Walked all the way into the town to the Three Roofs Cafe for a coffee and a highly recommended toasted teacake making the return walk seem very easy.
