Keeping your feet above water

It’s been a big puddles and headwind kind of a day. The latter was on my way round to Brootes Lane but by the time I was up at Malham Tarn, the wind was whisking in my favour (along with the windchill!) It then wasn’t too long before the puddles began. I think I’ve crossed the one before this one three times recently and today, I perfected hitting it at the right speed so as not to splash but with enough momentum to get me through to the other side without turning the pedals and getting my feet wet. The one in my photo was a doddle in comparison!

There were some fabulous cloudscapes being whipped up too and although it was a tiring ride, it gave me plenty to stay occupied.
