Heron

After checking out this morning we walked into Peebles for a look at the luxurious chocolate shop. We then went to Glentress Forest Although famous for its mountain biking trails Glentress also has some good walking routes. Dodging the bikes we did the shortest walk, up to the ponds.  Here I saw the heron fishing. 

The weather is lovely. Sunny and so mild. There's a bit of a wind but nothing too bad. The forest trails look good. 

We will have to start wending our way home soon. It's been an excellent short break. We've all enjoyed our varied time in and around Peebles. Looking forward to being at home later today.
