Witch hazel

Much chillier today with a threat of rain early in the morning and small shower in the afternoon.

This small tree has spidery flowers in shades of yellow, orange and red ... the yellow flowers are the most common.

Witch hazel has long been used in traditional medicine to treat anything from damaged skin and bruises to insect bites.
