After the Rain…..

The world around here looks fresher. This view shows a section of Doctors Creek. There is weed starting to cover the surface water. However there are tiny little trails through the water where ducks have paddled. We had 1mm in the rain gauge this morning. That makes a total of 10mm of rain over the last two days. Not nearly enough when very hot, windy, dry conditions are predicted for later this week. I walked with Maisie very early. It was unbelievably chilly. 3 or 4C. Gloves would have been welcome. Now it is 30C in the shade in the porch.
I have laid low today. Felt unwell… with a virus. Friend Cathie brought me some Covid tests. First test negative thank goodness. There is a lot of Covid about in the community. Take care my friends.
