Lampshade

In a rare moment of calm, I found myself contemplating this lamp that we bought twenty years ago in São Paulo when we lived there. I’d really never studied it and always thought it purely abstract . . . clearly it is to a large extent . . . but today I saw shutters of some sort down the very left hand side which got me wondering! Do the people work in a pizza restaurant and are putting pizzas into an oven?! Any thoughts?
