East Cowes Castle
John Nash, the British Architect who designed, Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, Brighton Pavilion and many more, retired to the Isle of Wight where he had designed his home - East Cowes Castle. It no longer exists but this Blip is the North Lodge which he later had added in the grounds. He is buried in St James's Churchyard in East Cowes. He designed the original church which was later enlarged, but the tower is all that remains of the original building.
The extra is an information board on the site of the Castle.
