Replacement

My Grandma was a traditional/old fashioned sort of woman. She wore headscarves in much the same way that the trendy, cool Hipster types do nowadays- only hers was for practical purposes rather than a fashion statement.
During one family holiday, my parents bought her a scarf from Venice featuring the city's landmarks.
She clearly stated that it was too nice for daily wear & I think perhaps it remained in the sideboard drawer rather than ever found on her head.
I, in my adult years, became the loving owner of this scarf & often wore it around my neck (even when it wasn't "fashionable" to do so- this was until one a night out, I so devastatingly, lost it.
This almost exact replacement was a gift from Alex in an attempt to bring that that little bit of sentiment that I so carelessly misplaced.
It was very thoughtful of him.
