Berlin, Baby!

I set off at lunch-time, except with all the roadworks going on in Warsaw, it took me over an hour to get across the city and pass the sign with a diagonal line through the city name, confirming that you're no longer in it! It was baking hot, I had sarnies, drinks, playlists on the iPod and a full load.

After the first 2-3hrs, of dealing with the rubbish road between Warsaw and Lodz - the E30, it was foot down and straight-line driving, all the way to Germany! I think I crossed four tolls, filled up twice and had two Orlen filling-station coffees, before I rolled into the car park at Schonefeld Airport, where I was leaving the car to rest up before the second and final leg of the Warsaw to Wales drive home.

I got the (slow) train into Berlin - the express was out of action for some reason. Jeni was there to meet me - at Potzdamerplatz - and it was merely a few steps into the grand entrance of the glorious hotel she'd booked. Home, for the next three nights.
