We had a lovely hack round the woods this morning. The boys were very good especially as we had a little Jack Russell run at us barking round their back legs. The owners couldn't catch it for a while. They're lucky it didn't get kicked and that our horses are not spooked by dogs. Eva was super brave and asked to canter a couple of times and we popped over some little logs. Kill joy rangers have moved the tree trunks I jumped last week :0(

We met Mike out on his bike (he was stalking us on Google maps) 

This afternoon we marked out where we want the internal walls in the extension. We've changed the lay out a bit to give us a bigger master bedroom and larger ensuite so we can fit a bath and walk in shower in. It solves lots of issues - spare room was going to be too small, not enough wall space in the master bedroom for furniture because of doorways, solves the awkward landing layout and avoids wasted space, there was no where for Eva to sleep when they knock through to create the ensuite which was going to be too small to fit a bath in (now she can stay in there till the new rooms are ready) and gives us the option to take out the bath in the tiny main bathroom and replace it with a walk in shower. 

The spare room will move downstairs and we'll have a Jack n Jill downstairs loo (door from utility and door from the bedroom for when we have guests) and space to fit an extra bed in if needed. Eva's current bedroom will be Mike's office instead of an ensuite. Feels like it's going to work much better.
