Raval Purchases

Here are our purchases from when we went to the Raval Barrio yesterday evening. Fenugreek, nigella seeds and harissa are new additions to our stock cupboard, but I’m pretty sure we’ve had them in Indian dishes before. From a very quick Google, it looks like fenugreek seeds are mainly just used in/on breads and the harissa powder can be made into a paste with oil and water and used to add flavour to salads, soups etc and the nigella seeds should be dry roasted and add flavour to tomato salads, egg and cheese dishes. If any of our blip friends use these in cooking, any tips would be very welcome!

An earlier than usual blip for me today as it’s a busy day.
