Beautiful but scary.

Today I noticed a large clump of these on Megalong Rd across from the Fire shed. We used to have one at the farm but isbi was afraid a grandchild would poke themselves in the eye so I was ordered to remove it - that suited me because I’d always been afraid it was a Triffid.
Definitely not native to the valley but I’m sure somebody will know what it is.
