Sticking Out!

Another wet wet day in Penrith today... Got this photo from under my awning in the side garden. This little, kind of ugly fly was just sitting on top of a small stem.. he's only about 3mm in size which was challenging but at the same time he was happy to pose for me... Downside? I did get close enough eventually to scare him off his perch.. flew straight into a small orb weavers web where he met his doom.... Poor little guy.

Anyway, I just want to add that anyone considering a macro lens, its worth it. I love mine and it opens your eyes up to a world you never thought existed! Hope everyone is enjoying their week! :)
