Blue Tit ( Cyanistes caeruleus )

Another day of howling gales, it didn't encourage me to go outside.  So obviously the blip had to be nice and easy.  Did I say easy?  My mistake.  The birds don't sit still for long in usual calm weather.  I had one nicely lined up just ready to press the shutter and it disappeared.  No it hadn't flown away, the twig it was on had moved so far in the wind that it moved out of shot.

Eventually, the occasional bird settled in the calmer parts of the bush  I managed a few halfway decent shots.
