GOOSE PARADE

I just happened to be going to my car (which was parked beside this pond) as this parade of geese was floating by - a lucky Blip opportunity! The first family has ten goslings and the second has four - so along with the parents, that makes 18 geese heading to the other end of the pond. It was quite a sight, much more dramatic than it appears here. In this shot, they are just arriving at the far end of the water. One by one they hopped out and proceeded in this parade across the lawn and parking lot, probably to a place that had something to eat. The 'kids' were certainly a well-behaved bunch, all staying in a proper line with Dad in front and Mom at the rear. The little ones are almost full-grown now - they developed amazingly fast.
