A Face Like A Mask

Ice patterns on the lake today, after a few freeze/thaw cycles, the bubbles are starting to appear again. This one reminded me of a line from a Bob Dylan song, I think "Man in the Long Black Coat". Funny the associations we draw on.

Processed with Bleach Bypass for extra clarity. Amazing how much I needed to lift the white balance, the ice was so blue. I came across a new method of adjusting white balance: watch the histogram until all the graphs overlap and the blue disappears. That's if you want it neutral.

Edit: I had another go at editing to make the image brighter. That's what happens sometimes when editing at night.
