Old Man's Beard

Clematis vitalba. An invasive pest capable of strangling mature trees.  I spent a very warm morning cutting down some large vines in the bush.  Each stump had to be painted with a fungicide to prevent regrowth.  The vine in the photo was 4cm in diameter at its base.
Extra:  The recently arrived ram, Stanley3, is still getting used to his new surroundings.  He hasn't learnt yet to come when I call him and his companion to get their treats but he doesn't run away and is getting braver.
