Punch

Had a zoom call first thing kicking off a new project board for an estates development which will be interesting. Afterwards had a coffee and chat to K about how to store recipes and meal ideas then went down to P’s house for what I think will be the last time to hang curtains back up, scrub and clean all the paintwork, kitchen and bathrooms. T came to help, and showed me his black eye, which he got when he was punched outside the club during his Saturday night shift. He’s worked in night clubs for 15 years and this is only the second time he’s been hit, so it’s hardly a normal occurrence but he wasn’t best pleased that the police hadn’t arrived quickly enough when they reported problems or that it was the person he was trying to protect who had hit him!
We worked on for a few hours then I came back for another zoom call about budgets before helping K with some focaccia bread which was proving trouble to make, chatted to A on her way home (upset about the quality of the blinds she’d ordered), did some Duolingo and then had supper. The focaccia tasted fine but didn’t look like the photo!
We watched the first episode of Criminal Record on Apple TV ….rather good.
