New bin

While I was still in my bed I heard clanking noises that sounded different to the usual bin emptying lorries - ah, at last they are replacing the food waste bin which has had a broken door catch for ages (the door kept blowing open in the wind, of which there has been quite a lot). For good measure they left us a new, extra, landfill bin, presumably because of all the fly tipping that goes on in that corner of Carpet Lane.

This passes for excitement round here these days.
