Meet 'Map'

This is little 2 month old 'Map' (but not pronounced like a map!). Aint she just devine?

Unfortunately there was nothing we could do for her fractured leg, it would have required a plate to fix the bone back together and we don't have that kind of veterinary equipment available to us here. She had her leg bitten severely by a much larger dog and it was hard enough to break the bone. But she is young and resilient and dogs can cope remarkably well with three legs. In fact right before this photo was taken she was getting around quite capably with tail wagging (although a little sooky!) - not more than four hours post surgery!

Could you imagine if that was one of us???? Little Map now brings the population of three legged dogs in Tam Dao to... three!
