Flowers from Tesco

Chaos in the high street this morning when a lorry got stuck trying to enter the narrow road between the village shop and the pharmacy blocking one side of the road.
 
I went to Saffron Walden for my book group meeting and the traffic was horrendous there too with four-way traffic lights and long queues.
 
The book group discussion was excellent even though the book was not liked.
 
Once home I discovered that a train was standing in the platform; it has been there several hours. A tree had fallen down across some wires in the next village. This meant that they could not run trains as the power needed to be off for safe working for the men removing the tree.
 
Today’s picture is of some flowers I purchased from Tesco this morning after the book group.
 
The temperature at noon today was thirteen degrees Celsius; it is very windy.
