When we were Very Young

My brother and I  have gone to sleep on this view at night from our parents' house for quite a few decades. Obviously the lights have changed as farm buildings have expanded, new areas have been lit, tree growth has obscured bits and even the mast has changed but intrinsically this is the same view as I had out of my window at the age of 7. 

I look out for THE  mast as I drive up there which also acts as a weather guide answering that vital question, 'What's the weather like up there with you?' ' Oh the mast's only half there!' the answer can come back, or 'Oh,' and a tut and one can visualise the head shake, 'You can't see the mast at all!' which is a dire situation. British weather ....
