Something Special to Me

We had some great discussions at our house group this morning, ranging from how we could help our church to provide the pastoral care needed by some of our parishioners, to wars and their causes, to the worrying increase in the use of spiritualists and mediums to contact the dead. We also continued looking at Acts of the Apostles which, after the Gospels, is essential reading if you want to understand the message in the Bible.

The Tiny Tuesday theme today is “Something Special to Me”. Back in the mid-80’s, my sisters Susan and Kaye flew out to join Mum, Dad and me at our villa in Spain and spend a weekend all together as our original little family of five. Mum looked around the dinner table at us all, beamed and said “I’ve got my babies back with me”. She then gave us each a piece of her jewellery, and these diamond and white gold earrings in their little round box were what she had picked out for me. I wear them every day, along with a diamond ring which Dad gave me for my 50th birthday. They are very special indeed.
