Close Encounter

My early morning walk took me along the cliff top path. The fields are off limits at the moment due to the nesting curlews and oystercatchers. I stopped to watch the nesting guillemots and was immediately targeted by this abusive gull. He kept flying overhead, squawking insults down at me. I sat it out for a good 5 minutes before deciding to vacate his territory.

Sorry I didn't get a clearer shot, because it was certainly close enough. I put it down to the fear factor!
