Looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. 

This morning I had what I hope is my last hospital appointment for a very long time. It was neurosurgery today, a follow-up after an MRI scan and X-rays of my lower back. The MRI scan isn't good, but it's the patient that they treat rather than the scan, and (hope this isn't tempting fate), I'm not getting any serious problems with my back at present.
