Steadfast

I walk past this tree trunk almost daily on the walk to town, some days - like today - it seems especially huge. I guess it must be the effect of light and colour. Soon it won’t be so visible as the scrub in front leafs up but it’s still an awesome beast. In the summer I often seen baby squirrels chasing up and down it. Long may it last in this crazy, scary world.
