By far and away electronic music is my favourite music genre and there are many people who cite Del Shannon's Runaway as the first, at least partially, electronic hit record. Quickly followed by The Tornados' Telstar, The Beach Boys' Good Vibrations and Gershon Kingsley's Popcorn.
