Sally Mair - Loving life

There and Back Again

Today we headed up to Banchory to help D, Colin's sister in the task of clearing their mum's flat. She has already done a huge amount of work on it. We helped mainly by agreeing that things could go and then by taking several runs to the charity shop. We had been going to stay over but with snow forecast decided to go there and back in a day, it's around 2.5 hours each way
We managed to dodge most of the snow both ways thank goodness and there is none here in our part of Edinburgh.
There are a couple of these sign posts outside Dundee which always make me smile.
What if Douglas and Angus split up?
What if they move?
Do the signs go with them when they go to work or on holiday?
What did they do to be single out for attention?
Is there sign a warning that they are there or a guide for visitors?
So many questions, as you can see my mind was on the road ....:-)

My sister is coming up tomorrow for the rugby on Saturday. She texted this evening to find out how much snow we had - none.
On the other hand, in Leeds, she'd had 6 hours from noon till 6pm. She's just hoping it doesn't freeze. She doesn't have a good record when it comes to coming up for the rugby. She was trapped here, with her three friends for several days, by the beast from the east! I was in India at the time so Colin was their host . Then there was another year of high winds when the trains were cancelled. Again, I was in India, lol.
