Stelvio Maintenance Crew

Got a bit of a rapport going with the maintenance guys on Stelvio which is nice.

Been damn cold on the pass today, so they are freezing to death much like I am. We are sharing a common pain, and thus, friendship.

There seem to be 6 guys who work fulltime on the pass, but two in particular who seem to patrol the higher parts of the pass. With the snow from yesterday they are still clearing a lot of that up.

They'll also drive up and down the high level pass every 2-3 hours collecting rocks from the road.

I believe he picked up the digger from the lay-by below me as a few larger rocks had come during the day.

Hate to say it, but the digger was about the most interesting thing today on the pass.
