Out in the rain this morning

Slight drizzle that helped me create some of the effects for these images as the street was dark enough for me to set a slow shutter speed without the need for a filter.  I wanted to capture some bright colours as well as movement.  I tried out a few different themes from Carnival costumes to alleyways with glimpses of a canal to scenes in shop windows.  I was tired by lunchtime so I’ve come back to the hotel to put my feet up and see what I got.  I didn’t make it quite as far as Fondamenta Neova but did stop for coffee at the small cafe that we used to patronise.  I can here the vaporetto through the open window so I might go back out now I’ve had a bit of a rest.
