Changing Lanes
One of the options on our daily walk is to take the short, but steep dirt path from the railroad level up to nearly the top of the Waud Trail. It's a good way to gauge the shape you're in. Sometimes you can get all the way to the top without stopping, sometimes you can't. Today I couldn't, and not only stopped to rest at every tree I came to, but stopped and leaned against the tree. I still have vestiges of the long, drawn-out cold thing. Cough, cough, sputter, sputter. . .
