It was cold.
Wind chill -5°c allegedly. It felt right. We did a walk we like, not many folks around. The river had spilled onto the flood plain at various points. At this time of the year you can see the river and rapids, in summer they’re obscured by trees. Many trees have been blown down since we last walked this way, there was a fair bit of debris around too.
We stopped at the baker on the way back to the car; fruit scones for later. We’d a coffee on the way home. Back before dark, a dusting of snow this evening.
