E is for EYESORE

How on earth this got planning permission beats me. It ruins an otherwise pleasant and rare bit of green around the Docks with its wonderful view of the Clifton Crescent and Brunel's Suspension Bridge. It is better enlarged.

Bristol is pulling out all the stops to be green and live up to its new status as Green City 2015 so a quarter of a million pounds has been spent on a hydrogen powered ferry. This is its refuelling point. As it can only take 12 passengers, is very noisy and has taken 3 years to get put into service one wonders who is going to pay through the nose to use it when there are much more pleasant and less expensive alternatives like these.
