Back to the Future.

Back in the 1990s this game - then Die Siedler von Catan or "Settlers" - heralded a bright new future for board games.  

It's seen by some as a bit old hat these days.  Admittedly, we've always known it as "the whinger's game" as the dice rolls always seem to favour the other players.

As a bit of change from the more cerebral modern stuff this weekend, we had a game of this tonight.  My east-west road building obliged with a victory.
