Day 25: sharp

These were sharp too, I snagged me cardigan (And skin!) on this bad boy as I tried to retreat back to the path)

Saw the most amazing this today at toddler group, and to think we nearly didn't go. We watched a chick hatch from an egg in the space of 30 minutes. Initially you could hear him cheating from inside just the tiniest crack which gradually got louder as the bird freed itself. Apparently yellow chicks are boys, brown are female. Every chick in the incubator must hatch and eat their entire egg shell before the lid is allowed to be lifted from the incubator. I can't wait to see them next week!
