On a whim
Another day predominantly spent taming the garden. On a whim (it's a constant wonder to me how much of my time is now spent in this mode, now that I am not working. I start with a vague structure to the day but invariably that changes as the whim takes me in an alternative direction. And yes, I am aware how lucky I am to spend so much or my time in this mode). Anyway, on a whim, I decided to dismantle the rickety old climbing frame, that has recently been declared a hazard by him indoors. As I struggled to unscrew/dismantle various rusted parts, I was reminded of the sunny day 9 years ago when father and 2 x grandfathers spent a very long afternoon assembling the same apparatus for our excited 3 year old. Typically, and infuriatingly, my dad adopted a nonchalant attitude to the instructions, thereby lengthening the assembly by a good 2 hours, and trying the good humour of our lad.
Took a couple of hours out on an errand to Bristol Temple Meads and spotted these hanging baskets which looked rather lovely against the wrought ironwork.
