Stirling Castle

noticed this vessel heading down the loch and was intrigued by it’s name, having drove past the actual Stirling Castle heading west this morning. The 6,000 tonne Royal Naval RFA Stirling Castle, a mine-hunting countermeasure ship which the navy bought and converted in 2023. Not to be confused with HMS Stirling Castle, of which there were six of them previously, the last one being sunk in 1916 in the Mediterranean.
