The garden

I haven’t done anything in the garden since last autumn, and I won’t be able to touch it until March. There’s a lot to do.

Last autumn I emptied most of the containers, putting the old compost out of sight behind a laurel bush. I noticed today that there are crocii flowering on top of the pile. Those old bulbs in the pots must have had some life in them yet.
