Northern Stage

I left the house for the first time in five days today; I’m beginning to feel vaguely human again after having one of the horrible viruses doing the rounds. Anna and I had tickets booked to see A Song for Ella Grey, so we had an afternoon out in Newcastle. Anna’s not been to the Newcastle Uni campus before so she spent a while admiring the gorgeous buildings.

We both enjoyed the play a lot. Anna was particularly overjoyed with the setting at Bamburgh beach, which is probably her favourite place in the world. Combine this with the storyline from Greek mythology and she was in heaven. A couple of really fab young actors too, although we weren’t so enamoured with the two leads. A good start to Anna’s half term.
