Small is Beautiful

After two very wet days, today has been almost spring-like with mild temperatures and some sunshine.

M and I went into town to get Ziggy a new scratching post, his old one is in shreds and he was taking rather too much interest in the carpet as an alternative.  We also enjoyed a coffee in the Two Magpies while watching the world go by up and down the high street.

I was on my way across the garden to the compost bin when I found this pretty miniature iris in full bloom, it's probably less than 6 inches tall.

I believe we're in for some more rain tonight, which won't please Ziggy now he's sharpened his claws on his newly purchased post.
