Mrs S has been visiting our local hospital's A&E department (she isn't the patient). Given the opportunity to observe, she noticed a few issues. A&E was rammed with people, there were not enough seats for all those waiting. The beds didn't all have pillows (there is a shortage). Those who didn't have a bed were on trollies, and those without a trolley were on mattresses on the floor!
The staff are doing their best, but the system here looks ready to collapse.
