You Take The High Road

Had a lovely walk this evening. Planned a short trip round the block but met G, a young man from the village. He is a boxer, and hopes to be an apprentice electrician. 

His fitness regime includes a fast hike to the top of the hill and back. Two miles. 

Hollie and I tagged along. He was good company, amiable and chatty. An old head on young shoulders.

He understood my need to rest at the bench with a view, before heading back down.

I am very tired tonight, having had a morning of digging and car washing. 
I enjoyed the walk but it took it out of me. 

Might have a day off tomorrow..
