Family trip

The day started with firecrackers at 8 and a lion dance just after at Sunway Vivaldi. Noisy! 7 of us headed north on 2 cars for a couple of nights away in Ipoh. 

After breakfast at Deen's (roti canal pisang) it took 3 hours to get to Ipoh. Luckily only one jam. Ipoh was very busy and we ended up having lunch in Plan B. I was in Ipoh just over vac year ago so it  all seems v familiar. 

We're staying in the Haven resort, 2 suites. There was a.bit of a strop from Mei Kei about shutting straightened but as usual she got her own way and Olivia is, willingly, upstairs.

I took the girls swimming and then we decamped to the 12th floor for a Grab takeaway. I had rice. The rest had noodles.

We have quite good TV here. BBC News! 

It's difficult knowing what is happening as all the chat is in Chinese. There is also some v bad karaoke going on outside, mainly Chinese.
