Sunday morning

We rarely miss blackcurrant drop scones (served with maple syrup) on a Sunday morning; the aim is to have cats fed, fire lit, scones made and coffee machine ready by 9.00 in time to watch Laura Kuensberg. John will make the coffee if he feels there is too much waffling, this morning it was 10.00 and no coffee.

I am a fan of this Danish whisk, it’s very good for any number of baking jobs, particularly mixing batter for these scones.
