The Sunday Artist

I did mean to go out today … honest! 

Instead, I spent a lazy day on choir admin, reading the paper, and finishing off some artwork started earlier in the week.

The Secretary bird is a water colour using a reference photo from a visit to Andover Hawk Conservancy a couple of years ago for a challenge set on a Facebook group I belong to.

The monotone one was started in my latest art class and is painted using ink with charcoal. I didn’t have the same ink as we used in class, so it’s more duotone, but I think it works.

So that sums up my day, and now it’s raining so I think I’ll go back to reading the paper!
